Small dams and canal lining: 'Cement requirements for projects will be met'

A meeting with cement manufacturers was held here on Thursday under the Chairmanship of Federal Minister for Industries and Production in the Ministry. The meeting was attended by the Minister for Finance Sindh, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Industries and Production along with representatives of the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association including Lucky Cement, Best Way Cement, Fauji Cement and Kohat Cement.
The meeting was assured by manufacturers that the cement requirements of the public sector infrastructure projects for small dams and canal lining for the next three to five years could be met with the current production capacity. In fact 10 million tons additionally could be produced through utilisation of excess capacity.-PR
