Rulers least bother about Pakistan's sovereignty: 35 percent industries close down due to wrong government policies: FPCCI chief

Country's 35 percent industries have been closed down due to wrong policies of the present government and it seems that rulers are least bothered about the sovereignty of Pakistan, it was stated by the newly elected President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI), Haji Ghulam Ali.
Addressing a dinner reception hosted by prominent stakeholders and President, Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum, Mian Zahid Husain in his honour, the FPCCI chief said that country's economy is ruining and the rulers are struggling for the survival of their government oblivious of the fact that country's sovereignty is at stake.
"The entire country has become jail for a common man as hardships for the people have become innumerable," Haji said adding that it's a shame that Minister of Finance, Dr Hafeez Shaikh despite holding the portfolio for the last nine months is yet to visit FPCCI or any other forum of the stakeholders to discuss the burning issues.
He warned the ministers and advisors to stop making mockery of public forums and the stakeholders as they can topple their rule whenever they like as they pay billions of rupees in taxes and duties to the national exchequer. He also advised the prime minister to instruct his ministers and advisers to become serious and take interest in public issues.
FPCCI chief declared that the present government is running the country ridiculously and except increasing POL prices, utilities tariffs, imposing taxes nothing has been done so far in the period of two and half years. He said that he would raise stakeholders' voice in the Senate and ministers will be snubbed for their un-tolerable conduct.
Chief guest and Vice President, Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chamber of Commerce, Tariq Saiyeed warned that the present government should seriously address the burning issues and come up with an effective economic policy otherwise, the country would be ruined by the ad hocism. He advised to call an all parties conference to suggest ways and means of the crises being faced by the country now a days.
He further advised the Senators present on the occasion to raise the stakeholders' voice in the Senate and make the government to come to the right track and save country's economy on which the Pakistan's sovereignty depends. President, Pakistan India Chamber of Commerce and Industry and leader of the business community, S M Muneer said that government itself increasing inflation by printing currency notes unabated and increasing mark-up rates.-PR
