Sialkot and its adjoining areas are in the grip of severe chill as a result of which the normal life disrupted adversely on Sunday. The normal traffic had become very thin on the roads while the attendance in educational institutions, semi government and government offices were very thin as severe cold restrained the people inside homes.
According to the weather condition it seems that cold weather may persist in Sialkot for next few days. The people were suffering from flu, cough and fever as a result of prevailing cold weather in the area.
Meanwhile, people belonging to various walks of life including housewives have expressed their deep concern over non-availability of Sui gas, which had made life miserable. As a result of that people are facing serious problems in cooking at morning and evening time and most of the school going children leave their homes without breakfast.
The severe cold, power load shedding and non-availability of gas had multiplied the miseries of the masses to manifolds.
The tea-shop owners are looting general public with both hands and charging exorbitant rate of tea and serving tea for Rs18 instead of Rs15 due non-availability of gas.
The medical specialists have advised the people to take care avoid roaming in thick fog because it will create like chest, cough and influenza and other health problems. The infants and children should be dressed properly for avoiding ailment they cautioned.
