US President Barack Obama on Sunday postponed a trip to a General Electric unit later this week after the Arizona shooting of a congresswoman and called on Americans to hold a moment of silence on Monday.
"Tomorrow at 11:00 am eastern standard time, I call on Americans to observe a moment of silence to honor the innocent victims of the senseless tragedy in Tucson, Arizona, including those still fighting for their lives," he said in a statement.
