The chief of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has said that bigwigs in the country "don't pay taxes", which results in heavy economic burden on poor masses.
Talking to media here on Sunday at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport, he said: "Tax is not collected from many of our political leaders. They are building assets abroad, while underprivileged masses are bearing the load of heavy taxes."
About Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM)'s return to treasury benches in National Assembly, the PTI chief said there were many other problems beside petrol prices which have not been resolved yet, and demanded MQM attention.
"If they (MQM) are doing the politics in Pakistan's interest, they must realise that too many issue, like inflation, law and order, and VIP culture are yet to be resolved, for which MQM should raise its voice rather than accepting treasury benches", he said. Imran said that the 'Namoos-e-Risalat' law was not new and has existed since the British era.
