Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUI-F), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has called for withdrawal of blasphemy amendments bill to bring an end to conspiracies against it. This was stated by Secretary Information, JUI-F Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Asif Iqbal Daudzai while speaking in a reception held in honour of the newly elected cabinet of Peshawar Press Club (PPC).
Those who were present on the occasion included provincial Ameer JUI-F, Maulana Sheikh Amanullah, former MNA, Qari Fayyaz-ur-Rehman Alvi, Shams-ur-Rehman Shamsi, former MPA, Amanat Shah and Abdul Jalil Jan. He said that the nation had rejected any such attempt through observing countrywide complete strike on December 31. The government should withdraw the amendment bill after huge reaction," the JUI official added.
He said that all religious political parties are going to hold a huge protest rally in Karachi on Sunday to put pressure on government for withdrawing the blasphemy amendment bill. He said that the withdrawal of the amendment bill would disseminate good message.
Daudzai, a former provincial minister for information urged the people for exhibiting responsibility on the sensitive issue like Blasphemy irrespective of profession and sector. The country, he said was established in the name of Islam and no law, which is repugnant to the religion, would be tolerated.
He said that there was no need to see, who had promulgated the existing law, but one thing is clear that it was based on good intentions. He said that the law is applicable to the blasphemy of any Prophet of Allah. He said that religio-political parties were fully acknowledging the rights of the minorities. The JUI-F activist demanded the withdrawal of the amendment bill for the sake of 160 million population of the state.
He said that the party had always stood for the protection of the rights of the people whether it was in the government or in opposition. He said that the party had protested the US-drone attacks in tribal area, levy of Reformed General Sale Tax (RGST), price hike and social injustices in the country.
JUI-F had always worked to nurture Islamic norms, restoration of durable peace, relief to the masses, especially evolving consensus on all national issues. He said JUI-F believes on policy of harmony and evolving consensus for resolution of all national issues.
Addressing on the occasion the provincial Ameer JUI-F Mualana Sheikh Amanullah, said that religio-political parties had rendered lots of scarifies in the prevailing situation. He said that Ulema had played vital role for maintaining unity and consensus on all national issues. JUI-F had extended full supports to efforts for the resolution of the problems and issues confronted by the nation. Provincial naib Ameer JUI-F, Qari Fayyaz-ur-Rehman Alvi, president PPC Saiful Islam Saifi and General Secretary, Shahid Hameed were also present on the occasion.
