Chief Minister Punjab Inspection Team Chairman, General Ziauddin Butt (Retd) has appreciated the role of Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital (LGH) Dr Tariq Salahuddin and MS Dr Salahuddin Khan over provision of satisfactory medical facilities to the patents, maintenance of good standard of municipality conditions and running of administrative matters of the hospital.
Chairman CM Inspection Team visited Lahore General Hospital along with other team members here on Saturday. They visited Emergency Neuro-Angiography, Fluoroscopy, Endoscopy, Radiology, Neuro-surgery and other wards of the hospital and inquired the patients about their health and facilities provided by the hospital administration to them.
The admitted patients shown their satisfaction over the provision of medical facilities to them by the hospital administration. They said that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif written a new history by providing free medical facilities in the government hospitals of the province, which have resulted in safeguarding the lives of hundreds and thousands of poor and needy patients of the country.
Principal PGMI Dr Tariq Salahuddin informed the members of the CM Inspection Team about the medical education progress and the measures to make LG Aid a State of the Art by the hospital administration and informed the team members that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved the establishment of Institute of Neuro-sciences in LGH, adding that the work on the said project is continued with great pace.
He said that the establishment of the institute would not only help to deal the mental patients, but would also result in the provision of better medical services to the emergency patients and would result in opening new doors for the research in field of mental health. He said that institute opens the new door of latest research for the mental patients.
Principal said that PGMI affiliated with LGH is the only institute in Punjab where doctors from all provinces including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and out of countries came for specialisation. These students enlighten about the latest research being held in the world so that they could properly treat the patients, he added.
Dr Tariq said that the latest monitoring system has been introduced in the hospital in which all the record of patient from its history to the establishment of disease is kept. Members of the delegation showed their satisfaction over the discipline, municipal arrangements and provision of better medical facilities to the patients over the briefing given by the Principal PGMI and assured that the government would leave no stone unturned for the provision of perfect medicall facilities to the patients. MS LGH Dr Salahuddin Khan, Director Administration Captain Dr Abdul Basit (Retd) and other administrative doctors were also present on the occasion.
