The Star Farm Initiative-Suppliers Conference, jointly organised by Metro Cash & Carry and Agriculture Department, will be held on Monday (tomorrow). According to the spokesman of Agriculture Department, Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the conference.
Managing Director Star Farm Hans Peter and Vice President of International Affairs Metro Group, Anton Kjnife will introduce the business model of Star Farm. Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, Minister for Agriculture will chair the technical session and Secretary Agriculture and Secretary Livestock will brief about the potential of agriculture and livestock sectors of the province.
The spokesman said that Star Farm Initiative, previously implemented successfully in China and Vietnam, is being launched by Government of Punjab in collaboration with Star Farm Consulting Company of China with the aim of modernising agriculture in Punjab. It would improve agricultural productivity, quality, tractability, marketability and revenues in Punjab.
