Following several meetings of Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA) with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) regarding the increase in the fees of GSP Form "A" from Rs 25/- to 1,000/-, it has been finally decided that the new rate for issuing Certificate of Origin (CoO) will be Rs 100/-
This a certainly a welcome step taken by the TDAP which will be much appreciated by the exporters, said Mohammad Jawed Chinoy, Zonal Chairman PRGMEA. We persistently took up this matter with the relevant authorities explaining to them that the industry cannot bear such a heavy increase in these difficult times, he added. Here, we also appreciate the role of TDAP in this matter and they were very co-operative in hearing our plight and took an immediate and timely decision to help the export industry, especially the small-scale exporting units, he added.-PR
