Islamabad police, Frontier Constabulary personnel and other law enforcement agencies, have launched a crackdown against protesters camped out at the Faizabad Interchange since November 8.

The operation against protesters at Islamabad’s Faizabad Interchange has triggered protests in major cities of the country including Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Peshawar, where scores of protesters have come out on streets to show unity with Faizabad protesters.

Protests have started in Lahore’s Shahdara and Sialkot’s Sambrial area, while many protesters have gathered at Karachi’s Numaish Chowrangi.

Protesters have also blocked Numaish Chowrangi and M.A. Jinnah Road for traffic, while many more are gathering from across the city in large numbers. Protesters have also gathered at Karachi’s Hub River Road in huge numbers.
