Cold, dry and foggy weather forecast

Like other parts of the country, the provincial capital is in the grip of cold wave and the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more cold and dry weather with dense foggy conditions from mid night to morning. Misty conditions remained throughout the day in the city, which kept the mercury low during day time. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded were 10 Celsius degrees and 2.4 Celsius degrees, respectively.
The met office sees no respite from sever cold weather for the next few days. According to the net office, cold and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country, However shallow/moderate foggy conditions are likely to continue over north-east Punjab, central and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhawah from mid night to mid day. Light rain with snowfall over the hills is also expected at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Hunza was the coldest place in the country where -9.7 Celsius degrees was recorded.
