Following the expected decline in the production of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) during winter, the price of locally produced LPG has surged by Rs 4 per kilogram, traders said.
According to LPG Distribution Association Pakistan (LPGDAP), the LPG marketing companies and its producer PARCO have increased its rate by Rs 5 per kg, soared the rate of domestic cylinder by Rs 60 and Rs 240 on commercial cylinder. The new price of LPG will be effective from Friday (today).
The domestic consumers in Lahore, Gujranwala Sialkot would now purchase LPG cylinder at Rs 1390 to Rs 1450. Similarly the LPG would be available at Rs 1210 to Rs 1270 at Karachi, Rs 1510 to Rs 1570 at Peshawar, Rs 1630 to Rs 1690 at Murree and Kohat, Rs 1510 to Rs 1570 at Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan and Sargodha, Rs 1810 to 1870 at Kashmir, Gilgit, Swat and Muzaffarabad. It is noted that the price of LPG surged by Rs 100 at Muree, Kohat and Gilgit during last two and a half years.
