President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Ghulam Mustafa in a press statement welcomed the decision of reducing the charges of Certificate of Origin to Rs 100 from Rs 1000 by TDAP. He said that TDAP had announced to increase the fees from Rs 25 to Rs 1000, and Sialkot Chamber and trade bodies took up the matter strongly and effectively with the respective authorities.
It was proposed that the said fee should be adjusted through Export Development Fund rather charging the exporters. He thanked the Chairman TDAP to settle the issue amicably by reducing the charges of Certificate of Origin from Rs 1000 to Rs 100 and hoped that the decision would help to build more trusted relations between business community and TDAP in future. Adnan Sarwar Kapur Vice President and Qaiser Baig Vice President were also present on the occasion.
