Convenor Sugar Cane Growers Association Javed Mahmood Malik called on the officials of US Consulate Lahore's Economic Officials including Jassica E. Berlow and others the other day and presented a copy of Sugar Cane Growers' Industrial Complex High Tech Ethanol Plant and High Tech Power Generation Unit.
Javed Malik in a statement issued here Wednesday said he briefed the US team about the salient features of this plan, called as Mamookanjan plan. The Association wanted to set up this plant with US assistance at Mamookanjan (District Faisalabad). He said this plan is aimed at co-generation of electricity, production of ethanol and livestock feed.
He said that whole project has been conceived under a social entrepreneurship approach by being a part of government plan to help reducing the poverty, promotion of small and medium enterprise development and job creation in the rural areas.
