Tribal elders appreciate district administration's drive against encroachment

The tribal elders here Sunday welcomed the anti- encroachment campaign by district administration with the assistance of army for addressing the problems of traffic jam and providing better clean environment to people of this region.
The recent drive against encroachment in the militancy-affected district has produced pleasant effects on the overall socio-economic condition of poor people. These views were expressed during a peace Jirga led by Alam Khan Baitani here Sunday that was attended by chieftains of other tribes including Dawar, Mehsud and Wazir in large number.
Lauding the extended support of Army for establishment of durable peace and harmony in the militancy affected FR Tank and South Waziristan Agency, the tribal elders said the remarkable improvement in terms of law and order in FR Tank and adjoining South Waziristan Agency has made the smooth and dignified return of hundreds of thousands of Internally Displaced People possible besides revival of economic activities. They expressed the hoped that special focus would be made now on reconstruction works. They also appreciated the security forces' role for maintaining inter-faith harmony in Moharram-ul-Haram. The cases for kidnapping for ransom have drastically decreased and happiness and prosperity have returned back to the area.
They expressed the hope that problems of traffic would be addressed on permanent basis after removal of encroachments and people would fully cooperate with district administration and security forces for progress and prosperity of the people.
