Lyari Expressway project: CDGK directed to begin removal of encroachment
District Co-ordination Officer Karachi, Muhammad Hussain Syed, has directed city government to start work, from Monday, for removal of encroachment from the north-bound area of Lyari Expressway so that the development work on this project could proceed further.
A city district government statement on Sunday said that an operational cell has been established at the DCO's Camp Office to monitor daily progress on the project. Officers of revenue, enforcement and 'katchi abadi' departments have been deputed in the cell to submit daily report to the DCO.
During a detailed visit of Lyari Expressway on Sunday along-with EDO Revenue, Roshan Ali Shaikh, and officers of city government and NHA and FWO, the DCO inspected those places where presence of encroachments is creating hurdles in the development work. He informed that Sindh Governor and chief minister have directed to resume the leftover work of Lyari Expressway.
