Eight alleged terrorists arrested

The Karachi Police arrested 8 alleged high-profile terrorists involved in series of targeted killings in the city. "The arrests have been from different parts of the city and they belong a banned organisation," said Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Fayyaz Leghari while addressing a press conference here on Sunday.
The accused were involved in the murder of at least 12 people and their ring leader is Tanvir Abbas, the CCPO said.
He said that the gang was involved in act of terrorism since March 2, 2009. The accused used to acquire snatched cars, motorcycles and illegal weapons as a modus operandi to accomplish their task, he added. The CCPO did not give any information or identity of other accused due to security concerns.
