A meeting of the Social Welfare and Women Development Department and other stakeholders was held at the Directorate of Social Welfare on Saturday with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Social Welfare, Sitara Ayaz in the chair. The meeting finalised the agenda and arrangements of forthcoming Inter-Provincial Ministerial Group (IPMG) conference.
The Additional Secretary Social Welfare, Director Social Welfare, other concerned officers, members of the Provincial Commission on Status of Women, representatives of concerned non-government organisations, media persons, MPAs Munawar Sultana, Yasmeen Zia and other participants attended the meeting. They presented proposals and their services as well to make the conference a success.
Referring to the prime purpose of the conference, Sitara Ayaz said that the inter-provincial meeting would help exchange views and experience about women empowerment and also determine responsibilities for women that would not only help them protect their own rights but also contribute to social and economic uplift of the country.
