The board meeting of Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) was held at CBC office. Station Commander 5 Corps, Brigadier Anis Ahmed, who is also the president of CBC, announced that construction work which was stopped due to the disapproval of building by-laws and carpeting of street, falling under CBC jurisdiction, will be resumed soon.
He informed that the suggestion of starting water supply through water bowsers in a modern and computerised way, during the construction of water line in DHA, is under consideration to ensure availability of drinking water to the citizens.
The agenda was taken seriously and hundreds of maps were approved. The meeting also decided to repair many roads and footpaths of DHA. Brigadier Anis ordered giving preference to resolve the garbage problem of Kachi Abadis and approving the house maps. He assured that destitute citizens would get their legal rights.
It was also decided to soon resolve the problems of sewerage and streetlights. The meeting appreciated efforts of CEO, CBC Muhammad Hayat Mahar in resolving problems of the citizens. President CBC directed that the decisions made in the meeting should be enforced as soon as possible. He also directed that cantonment board meeting should be held twice a month to promptly resolve civic problems of the residents.-PR
