Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal has said that the parties, who are in coalition government in Sindh, are responsible for the lawlessness in Karachi.
Addressing a press conference along with Saleem Zia Advocate, Hafeez Uddin, Nehal Hashmi Advocate and other PML-N leaders at Karachi Press Club on Saturday, Ahsan Iqbal said that the provincial government and parties in power should find a durable solution of the problem.
He said if anyone had objections over government's policies, he should quit the government and then criticise the government. He demanded of the government to take back the decision of increasing petroleum products' prices, saying that the increase would bring a tsunami of price hike. This increase on the eve of New Year has shuttered the hopes of masses, he opined.
He said instead of increasing oil prices the government should have cut its expenses. Ahsan Iqbal said that the country's economy was in tatter, adding that if government would not abandon its policy of taking loans and would not reduce its expenditures then bringing the country out of the crisis will be near possible. He said PML-N would raise the issue of increase in petroleum products' prices in National Assembly. Ahsan said that corruption was the major issue hampering the economic development of the country.
