Police foiled a robbery attempt at the house of Mutahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM), Member National Assembly (MNA), Abdul Waseem and arrested alleged dacoit here on Saturday. Three unknown armed robbers entered the house of MNA, Abdul Waseem in North Nazimabad Block N within the limit of Taimooria Police Station.
However, Police arrested alleged dacoit in injured condition when trying to flee after robbing the house. Official at Police Station told Business Recorder that an alleged robber was arrested after getting injured by crossfire with Police while the other two managed to escape.
After robbing the house dacoits were trying to flee meanwhile, the policemen outside the house of Abdul Waseem opened fire on them and a dacoit sustained injuries. Later Police arrested the injured. A TT pistol and looted valuables were found from his possession. FIR was registered on behalf of Waseem Ahmed's brother Abdul Saleem. The investigation has been initiated.
