Planning Commission in collaboration with University of Agriculture Faisalabad is going to organise a one day conference on horticulture (fruits) at University of Agriculture Faisalabad on December 30, 2010 thereby to provide an independent forum to stakeholders for in-depth review of performance of agriculture sector and to render advice to Government through launching a national forum on agriculture with Syed Fakhar Imam former speaker national assembly as chairperson.
Dr M. Jameel Khan Advisor Agriculture Planning Commission of Pakistan will deliver opening remarks while Nunaid Iqbal Chowdry Secretary MINFA will present a review of horticulture sector. Professor Dr Iqrar A Khan Vice Chancellor is set to deliver a keynote address. The other speakers would be Altafur Rehman ORI Sargodha, Dr Atta Hussain Soomro, Dr Faridullah Wazir, M. Naseem, Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman, M. Boota Sarwer, Dr Amanullah Malik, Dr Munir Ahmad, Professor Dr Khalid Mustafa, Saifi Chaudhry, M. Bashir, Imdad Nizamani, M. Azam, Saadat Ijaz Qureshi, Dr M. Aslam Gill, Dr M. Jaffar Jaskani, and Dr M. Saeed.
