Two Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat activists killed

Target killing of two activists of Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat by unknown assailants on Monday left the New Karachi area under panic. According to police sources, the activists namely Shoaib, son of Ilyas and Mustafa, son of Yaqoob received bullets by unknown armed men at New Karachi Industrial Area 11-J on Monday morning and killed Shoaib on the spot.
Meanwhile, Mustafa had managed to escape and entered 11-G area where he was again targeted along with another activist of Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat named Yaqoob, son of Ahmed. Both injured activists were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where Mustafa succumbed to his injuries, leaving the areas of 11-F, 11-G and 11-J in grip of tension.
Since the death of both activists of Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat, the exchange of heavy firing was reported at the said areas of New Karachi, which left two workers of Sunni Tehreek sustained injuries. The injured workers were identified as Zubair, son of Shabbir and Waqas son of Hanif, who were later shifted to the Civil Hospital for treatment. The funeral prayers of the deceased Shoaib was offered after Isha prayers at Jamia Masjid Aqsa in 11-A, New Karachi. Heavy contingent of police and Rangers were deployed in these areas to control the situation.
Meanwhile, the Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamat leaders Allam Aurangzaib Farooqui, Maulana Taj Mohammad and others condemned the targetted killing and said that Sindh government had failed to stop target killing. They said that administration was arresting their workers instead of criminals. They demanded government to arrest the killers of their workers.
