Strict action against drug hoarding directed

Executive District Officer Health, Dr Umer Farooq Baloch has directed to start stern drive against the artificial shortage of drugs to point out elements involved in the heinous crime. He also said concerned staff of health department should fulfil their responsibilities and play a vigilant role in this regard.
On the directions of Secretary Health, Fawad Hassan Fawad, the EDO issued instructions to all drug inspectors to inspect their respective areas and ensure that drug makers or storekeepers are not involved in the storage of medicines for the sake of raising prices. He further said some black sheep are busy in a self-created shortage and selling medicines at very high prices.
