Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani said that drone attacks are the counter productive and these attacks are increasing our problems. "We are trying to convince the US administration to transfer this technology to Pakistan so that we could use this technology according to the requirements. He expressed these views while talking to mediamen here on his short visit to Multan on Sunday.
Prime Minister said that the strong hold of the terrorists is ending now and they are on the run. He said that it is the responsibility of the entire nation to point out the black sheep who are involved in sabotaging peace and playing with the lives of the people.
Responding a question, Gilani said that due to global recession, terrorism and the devastated flood, hike in the prices of various daily used items have risen and government is adopting comprehensive strategy to strengthen the economy and to check the inflation. He said that we have contacts with all political parties and the meetings of various political leaders are good gestures for democracy.
PM said that party would be taken into confidence on all matters in the meeting of Central Executive Committee of PPP.
He said that institutions are becoming strong now and democracy is flourishing as well. Media should point out the flaws and we would fix it but criticism should not be for the sake of criticism, he added. To a question about the probe into murder case of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, Gillani refused to say anything and replied that the case is under investigation and party leaders would be briefed about the investigation.
Responding a question about the arrest of Shahzain Bugti, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said that it is the provincial matter, however, I will call the chief minister Balochistan and inquired about this matter. "Baloch people are very patriotic and they had played a prominent role in the establishment of Pakistan. Prime Minister arrived here during his short visit to offer Fateha on the death of son of Member Board of Director Nadra, Syed Hassan Raza Shah. Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Advisor to PM, Ghazanfar Gul also came with Prime Minister. Media Co-ordinator to PM, Khawaja Rizwan Alam and MPA Malik Aamer Dogar, MPA Syed Ahmad Mujtaba Gilani, Syed Nazim Hussain Shah, Commissioner Muhammad Ali Gardezi and others were present on the airport to welcome PM. Prime Minister went for a while to his residence and later on went to Larkana. Tight security arrangements were made on this occasion.
