Punjab sports contingent leaves for Peshawar

A contingent of 349 players and officials from Punjab on Friday left Lahore for Peshawar to participate in the 31st National Games. The sports department provided tracksuits, T-shirts, joggers, socks and playing kits of respective games to all the players of Punjab. The officials were also provided uniform including suits, shirt, tie, socks and shoes etc.
The 10-day training and coaching camps for the preparation of the games were started from 11th December. All the expenditures regarding preparation and participation in the said games including transportation were borne by the government of the Punjab. The officials are optimistic that Punjab contingent would show outstanding performance in the 31st National Games.
