Corps Comm-ander Gujranwala Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif visited Rachna Troops Welfare Centre (Formation Children Hostel). On arrival the Corps Commander was given comprehensive briefing on history / background and administrative aspects of the Centre.
This Centre has been established in line with the vision of Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, to provide quality education to wards of Junior Commissioned Officers / Soldiers and students from under developed areas of Balochistan and FATA. Under this program, 20 students from FATA and Balochistan alongwith 15 x wards of Junior Commissioned Officers / Soldiers are residing in the Centre to avail better education facilities. Corps Commander visited different sections of the Centre including residential block, computer section and class rooms. Talking to the students, he appreciated their patriotism and passion for education.
