Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on Tuesday merged three Business Operations Centres (BOCs) of North Karachi into one Virtual Integrated Business Centre (VIBC). The KESC officials told Business Recorder that the billing rotation of most of the customers of North Karachi has been changed and their accounts have been shifted from one cycle to the other as KESC has merged three BOCs of the area into one VIBC.
They said that customers of these areas would now be receiving their bills in the starting days of each month and KESC has informed the customers regarding this administrative shifting through a letter attached with the bills of November. While previously they were receiving their bills in the final days of the month, they added.
Billing due date of these customers would also be changed from December onwards, they said. They added that on the basis of average units less than 10 percent of the current bills of the new billing system have been issued and the billed amount would be adjusted in the next month's bills against the used electricity units.
