Lahore Develop-ment Authority (LDA)'s newly built Park and Ride Plaza at Main Boulevard, Gulberg, will open on Monday (December 27). According to a LDA's spokesperson here on Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the 11-floor plaza.
The building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 677 million on a 3.17kanal piece of land adjacent to UCH within a period of one and a half year. It has a capacity of providing parking facility to 308 cars per day. Moreover, as many as 80 shops have also been built in the basement, ground and first floors of this plaza along-with two restaurants on the first floor as well as the roof top of the structure.
Safety and security of the people has been ensured in the construction of the structure. The design includes open stairwells and ramps, security devices such as road blockers, car scanners, CCTV, public address system, fire alarm and fire fighting, audio and emergency buttons.
