On Tuesday, the BRIndex30 opened at 8,811.82 points and, after remaining in green for around two hours since market opening, started recording fluctuations; touching the intra-day high of 8,881.10 points and low of 8,795.03 points, and closed at 8,807.30 points with a net negative change of -4.52 points, or -0.05 percent.
The volume was 83,559,213 shares, which was 71.54 percent of KSE All share volume and 89.03 percent of KSE-100 volume. The KSE All Share volume was 116,800,506 shares and KSE-100 volume was 93,851,277 shares. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,564.82 with a net negative change of -20.28 points or percentage change of -0.78 and turnover of 29,631,255 shares. BR Cement Index closed at 723.58 with a net negative change of -7.24 points or percentage change of -0.99 and turnover of 10,335,973 shares.
BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 599.38 with a net positive change of 2.17 points or percentage change of 0.36 and turnover of 7,653,246 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,675.30 with a net negative change of -1.25 points or percentage change of -0.05 and turnover of 6,200,478 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,651.47 with a net negative change of -1.8 points or percentage change of -0.11 and turnover of 3,217,074 shares.
