Karachi Port's activities

The Karachi Port handled 157,280 tonnes of cargo including 100,224 tonnes of import cargo, 57,055 tonnes of export cargo, 5,884 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 100,224 tonnes comprised of 34,582 tonnes of containerised cargo; 262 tonnes of general cargo; 39,541 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,196 tonnes of sugar; 29,190 tonnes of coal; 9,155 canola and 25,840 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 57,055 tonnes comprised of 47,865 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,034 tonnes of general cargo; 8,156 tonnes of bulk cargo: 6,005 tonnes of cement and 2,151 tonnes of rice. Five ships namely Bunga Raya Satu, MOL Success, MOL Success, Elpida GR and Aqua Atlantic sailed out to sea during the reported period. Six vessels viz Greenwich Bridge, APL Brisbane, Al-Shuwaikh, Lucky Lady-1, Spar Gemini and Cos Fair are currently at the berth.
Two ships namely Hyundai Tacoma and OEL Sheryas expected to sail on Tuesday, while three ships namely Li Bai, Cos Fair and Greenwich Bridge are expected to sail on Wednesday. Two vessels viz President Truman and Easy Prosperity due to arrive on Tuesday, while six vessels viz Lt Genova, Williamburg Bridge, Violetta, Manila Express, Lietta and Triton Swift are due to arrive on Wednesday.
