No threat to government after JUI-F exit

Published Updated

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Women Wing Lahore President, Faiza Malik has warned that any attempt to oust PPP-led government would be a fatal blow to democracy in the country. Addressing a gathering of PPP women workers at her residence on Sunday, she said that though PPP is acting upon the policy of reconciliation but it would not compromise on "principles", adding that her party is supporting PML-N in Punjab for the sake of democracy.
She stressed that PML-N would not be able to continue its government in the province without PPP's support. Faiza Malik said, "PPP has come in to power with people's votes and it has been elected for five years". Not only the PPP-led government would complete its tenure but President Asif Ali Zardari would also continue performing his role for the nation till the completion of his constitutional period, she added. She said there was no threat to government's continuity after the separation of JUI-F.
