National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has joined hands with Daewoo Pakistan for conducting 'Drivers Safety Training' programme, aimed at ensuring training of drivers. This was stated by NH&MP IG, Dr Wasim Kauser while chairing a meeting with an official of Daewoo Pakistan.
Dr Wasim said Daewoo will support motorway police in establishing a drivers' training institute of its kind in southern Punjab, featuring a driving safety training track, training classrooms and a high-tech simulator. This, he added, has now become a point of knowledge transfer to surrounding communities, particularly for people who are professional drivers in less-developed areas. The training helps them get better road safety environment. It also benefits the associated drivers of locality as well.

Our objective is to maintain this performance and promotes road safety, enhancing quality of life of the people in the local community and drivers from other organisations as well, he added.
He further said that a driving school is a combination of service and great traffic safety programmes and has been providing the best in defensive driving education in Pakistan with an academically researched curriculum. He added that this type of school has been a leading one and an icon in the communities they serve.
Concluding, Dr Wasim said it is the duty of every citizen to abide by traffic rules and follow road safety precautionary measures to save not only their own lives, but also of others to achieve the goal of safe driving and zero accident policy.
