Complaint against Mirza: Prime Minister assures MQM to remove reservations
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani assured the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to remove its reservations about Sindh government. A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) met the Prime Minister at PM House on Sunday and expressed reservations about recent statement of Sindh Home Minister Zulfikar Mirza about MQM.
Sources told Business Recorder that the MQM delegation, led by Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Dr Farooq Sattar, met the Prime Minster and conveyed an important message of MQM chief, Altaf Hussain, to the Premier.
MQM leaders Haider Abbas Rizvi, Babar Khan Ghouri, Adil Siddiqu and Raza Haroon were also in the delegation. After the meeting, Farooq told media that the Prime Minister had assured them to remove the reservations of the MQM. He said that the meeting was held on one-point agenda. He said that the meeting continued for three and a half hours and MQM delegation expressed party reservations and complaints with open heart.
He said that the MQM had asked the Prime Minister to take notice, at government and party levels. He said that the Prime Minister took their reservations seriously and assured them to address them. He added that other political issues were also discussed in the meeting.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira also told the media that the meeting was held in friendly atmosphere. He said that MQM members had expressed their reservations about Sindh government.
He said that the Prime Minister assured for appropriate measures to address the same both at the government and party levels. Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar, Rehman Malik, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Khursheed Shah, Dr Zaheeruddin Babar Awan, Naveed Qamar, and Pervez Ashraf were also present in the meeting.
