Accountability Court resumes hearing against Sharif family

Deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar arrived on Wednesday at the accountability court as the hearing commences regarding the corruption references filed against them by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Even though the court had granted on November 15, Sharif and Maryam exemption from court, they both appeared for today's hearing. A number of senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders welcomed Sharif at the court.
As the hearing began, Maryam submitted a request asking the court to alter her exemption period, local media reported. She asked the court to exempt her appearance from December 5 to January 5 next year.
