KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Friday at 21,538.40 points with a positive change of 289.49 and volume of 81,072,600 shares. High and Low were 21,578.57 and 21,221.93 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 28 were up, 2 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 115,492,180 shares. Total companies traded were 372 of which 266 were positive, 87 were negative and 19 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 25,590,000 shares. It was followed by Engineering with a total traded volume of 11,647,200 shares.

The top three advancers were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 180 and price per share of 2,562 (42.62), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 28,300 and price per share of 1,138.42 (37.17), Indus Motor Company Limited with a volume of 17,000 and price per share of 1,736.29 (20.86).

The top three decliners were Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 800 and price per share of 1,392.82 (-73.30), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,740 and price per share of 1,653.77 (-59.74), Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 7,100 (-36.50).
