The leadership of the Balochistan Organising Committee of the Pakistan Muslim League-N urged the Baloch insurgents to stop targeted killing of innocent people.
Addressing a news conference here on Sunday, PML-N leadership including former Governor Balochistan General Abdul Qadir Baloch (retd), former federal minister Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir, former provincial minister Nawabzada Changaiz Marri, former Speaker Balochistan Assembly Jamal Shah Kakar and sitting Balochistan Minister for S & GAD Sardar Sanaullah Zehri said that target killing of innocent citizens and labourers was not solution to Balochistan issue.
They said that target killing of common people never remained a way to get rights. They urged the Baloch insurgents to adopt democratic way, saying it was the right way to get rights. They regretted that kidnapping for ransom and vehicle lifting had become a most profitable business in Balochistan.
They opined that although law and order was a provincial subject, however, keeping in view the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan, the federation should cooperate with the provincial government.
They recalled that Balochistan had been braving prolonged power outages since last many years, which had devastated its agriculture sector. They were of the opinion that work on Dadu-Khuzdar electricity transmission line might take more three years as it was being carried out very slowly. They suggested the provincial government to lay high tension line from Och Power Plant of Dera Murad Jamali to Sibbi which would only cost by Rs 01 billion.
They alleged that with a planning, electricity pylons were blown up and 74-km long electricity high transmission wires had been stolen from Chhattar area.
They noted that withdrawal of subsidy on agriculture tube-wells would result in further destruction of agriculture sectors in Balochistan. They demanded of the federal government to review its decision in this regard.
Replying to another query, they said that a seven-member committee had appointed divisional co-ordinators to strengthen PML-N in Balochistan. They pledged that their party would continue role for resolution of Balochistan issue.
