Sugar futures closed fractionally higher on Tuesday, bouncing up from negative territory with help from physical buying. Raw sugar futures fell more than 3 percent, with the July contract dropping below 15 cents per lb, but reversed to close higher on consumer buying, dealers said.
ICE July raw sugar closed up 0.06 cent at 15.25 cents a lb, after falling 3.4 percent to the day's low at 14.67 cents. July cocoa on ICE finished up $7 to settle at $2,922 per tonne ICE July arabica coffee gained 0.50 cent to close at $1.3275, bouncing on strong support around $1.30/$1.3050.
