Indonesia has raised the June base export price for crude palm oil and its by products, while the tax rate for the vegetable oil remained unchanged at 4.5 percent from the previous month. Base export price for crude palm oil rose to $754 per tonne for June deliveries, against $752 per tonne in May, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Producers in Medan, home to Indonesia's main palm oil export port of Belawan, did not hold any auctions on Wednesday. Refiners in Jakarta offered refined, bleached, deodorised (RBD) palm oil, used for cooking oil, sold at a top price of 7,800 per kg, unchanged from the previous day. PT Astra Agro Lestari offered palm kernel oil at $1,040 per tonne. No trades were reported on Wednesday.
