Ground Breaking of Ghani Float expansion Project-500 tpd second float line
After fulfilling the needs of the local glass industry, GGL is on its way to set up an export based 500 tpd second float line at Sheikhupura. The Ground breaking of the upcoming float glass project was done by Mr Shahid Khan - Director Swicorp on February 24, 2010 at the site. Swicorp is a leading investment company of KSA, who hold 20% equity in Ghani Glass.
The Project development work is underway at full speed. The land is already there and the building work has started, most of the LCs for procurement of plant and machinery have been opened and some are in pipeline. The required human resource is already in place for ensuring project construction and commissioning in July 2011.
The Project is planned to produce 180,000 Tons of High Quality Float Glass per annum from 2 mm to 199 mm thickness. The Project is anticipated to cost Rs 3 billion and is expected to be commissioned in July 2011. The Project is based on the latest technology to produce variants for the future market needs for local as well as export markets.
The Project development work is underway at top speed. Building work has started, LCs for procurement of plant & machinery established/in process. Personnel recruited.
