KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Thursday at 21,692.62 points with a negative change of -165.39 and volume of 86,472,000 shares. High and Low were 22,059.31 and 21,429.27 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 4 were up, 26 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 137,991,430 shares. Total companies traded were 395 of which 73 were positive, 306 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 17,051,000 shares. It was followed by Power Generation and Distribution with a total traded volume of 15,151,300 shares.

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 940 and price per share of 1,549.45 (-81.55), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 1,635 (-45.00), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 3,900 and price per share of 1,449.42 (-24.09).
