Government has appointed Kamran Lashari Secretary Petroleum, replacing Mahmood Saleem Mahmood who got retirement on Wednesday. Kamran Lashari was earlier working as Secretary Ministry of Environment. He has also worked as chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) for a long time.
Sources said that three names were considered for the new secretary Petroleum, ie, Privatisation Secretary Shahab Khwaja, Kamran Lashari and senior Member Board of Revenue Sindh, Ghulam Ali Pasha. Meanwhile, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) arranged a farewell dinner for Mahmood Saleem Mahmood, who is now expected to be appointed at a senior position in the Presidency after his retirement. Many senior officials of different ministries attended the dinner.
