Another commando of Special Services Group (SSG) injured in the operation against the terrorists, who attacked General Headquarter (GHQ) on Saturday, succumbed to his wounds here on Tuesday. The commandos of Anti Terrorist Task Force of SSG launched an operation for the release of the 42 hostages at Security Office of GHQ on Sunday morning.
Three SSG commandos were martyred, besides three hostages and four terrorists while many commandos injured in the operation. Three injured commandos succumbed to their injuries in CMH Rawalpindi on Monday, while another injured commando breathed his last at CMH on Tuesday.
The injured SSG commandos who rescued 39 hostages after killing four terrorists have rushed to CMH Rawalpindi for medical treatment. But they cannot survive and breathed their last. Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvaiz Kayani visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi, where injured Army soldiers and SSG commandos are under treatment. General Kayani inquired about the health and well being of wounded soldiers of Operation Janbaz. He appreciated their performance and high morale.
