Emergency in public sector hospitals

KARACHI: Sindh Secretary Health Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi, has declared an emergency in all public sector hospitals of the province from evening of Muharram 8 upto Muharram- ul-Haram 11 (corrsponding with December 4 to 7, 2011).

An official statement here on Monday said that the Secretary Health has directed the concerned officials that during emergency it must be ensured that all relevant staff including doctors and para-medical staff/ medicines and blood supply along with ambulances and other logistics be available in all hospitals to meet any emergency situation.
