BEIJING: Ambassador Masood Khan said here Monday that China has always stood by Pakistan in difficult times. "We are grateful to the people and Government of China for expressing solidarity with us in this tragic hour when we have lost precious lives of our soldiers," said Ambassador Khan while talking to APP.
Referring to the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman statements issued here Monday on NATO-ISAF air strike, he said China's "deep shock" over the incident and "profound condolences" to Pakistan have given great solace to us.
"China has at all times supported our efforts to uphold our sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity," he noted.
This time too China has reiterated this peremptory and absolute norm of international law, Khan said adding that this shows the strong and eternal bonds of friendship between our two countries, which are good neighbour and trusted strategic partners.
