KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Wednesday at 22,552.10 points with a negative change of -246.70 and volume of 77,407,400 shares. High and Low were 23,013.47 and 22,513.12 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 3 were up, 26 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 147,819,450 shares. Total companies traded were 387 of which 97 were positive, 272 were negative and 18 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 32,737,200 shares. It was followed by Technology and Communication with a total traded volume of 17,317,500 shares.

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 6,520 (120.00), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,740 and price per share of 1,722.50 (77.14), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 123,340 and price per share of 1,280.17 (57.42).

The top three decliners were Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 650 and price per share of 794.21 (-41.79), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 2,150 (-35.00), ICI Pakistan Limited with a volume of 8,860 and price per share of 900 (-26.09).
