KARACHI: The NAB arrested an accused person identified as Muhammad Ikhlaq Memon said to be involved in KMC illegal allotment case.
A NAB statement here on Wednesday said that the accused is wanted in Reference No. 46/2016 pending in Accountability Court No. III at Karachi.
It said that he was arrested from Islamabad after cancellation of bail from the Supreme Court.
The NAB statement further maintained that the accused is beneficiary of illegal proceed of precious plot located at III Talwar Clifton Karachi that he received by manipulating record in connivance with KMC and Board of Revenue officials, causing loss to national exchequer of approximately Rs 1 billion.
Along with the accused person, total 8 accused persons were sent up for prosecution out of whom five are absconders, the NAB statement added.
