KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Monday at 22,475.21 points with a negative change of -233.65 and volume of 70,079,200 shares. High and Low were 22,916.12 and 22,397.55 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 4 were up, 25 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 103,176,700 shares. Total companies traded were 377 of which 86 were positive, 266 were negative and 25 were unchanged.

Textile Composite was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 15,931,000 shares. It was followed by Technology and Communication with a total traded volume of 14,297,500 shares.

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 3,580 and price per share of 7,349.34 (349.96), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 400 and price per share of 3,085.25 (145.25), Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 500 and price per share of 2,922.68 (122.68).

The top three decliners were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 6,250 (-150.00), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,220 and price per share of 1,696.69 (-89.29), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 4,900 and price per share of 1,599 (-84.15).
