National Trust of Population Welfare (Natpow) is arranging health camps in various districts of the country to provide free of cost medical treatment and necessary information to the patients. CEO Natpow Iftikhar Durrani told APP on Friday that Natpow will arrange three health camps in a week at different districts of Sindh including Larkana, Ghotki, Sanghar and Thatha.
While in the districts of Balochistan including Turbat, Lasbella, Zhob and Khuzdar till August 18. Natpow has arranged health camp in Gwadar on Friday while a similar camp would be held at Sukkar on Saturday (today), he informed. The health camps in Swabi, Dadu and Charsadda were arranged earlier.
The camp at Swabi was organised in collaboration with USAID Pakistan and Kalo Khan Welfare Association and more than 180 patients were treated by the doctors. Naib Nazim Swabi Shamsul Qamar, DCO Abdul Jabbar and district officials also visited the camp.
The patients were also provided information about family planning and reproductive health by the doctors. While a drama was also performed on the occasion to highlight issues related to family planning, he informed. The similar medical camp was arranged in Dadu on Thursday where a group of doctors treated 500 patients. The camp was organised at village Juhi of Dadu district in collaboration with USAID Pakistan.
District officials including EDO Health Qalandar Bukhsh visited the camp where patients particularly women were provided information about family planning and reproductive health. The officials made aware the locals about various health issues, he said. A similar health camp was organised in Charsadda where female patients were treated. The health camps are being held under the supervision of the officials of Natpow Regional Offices at Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, Peshawer and Multan.
