KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Friday at 24,632.18 points with a negative change of -80.67 and volume of 71,026,300 shares. High and Low were 24,779.75 and 24,559.72 respectively. Of 29 companies traded, 13 were up, 16 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 113,806,570 shares. Total companies traded were 364 of which 127 were positive, 219 were negative and 18 were unchanged.

Textile Composite was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 21,867,800 shares. It was followed by Technology and Communication with a total traded volume of 11,042,000 shares.

The top three advancers were ICI Pakistan Limited with a volume of 620 and price per share of 1,039.50 (24.08), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 27,300 and price per share of 1,809.41 (19.40), Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd. with a volume of 400 and price per share of 819.99 (19.18).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 220 and price per share of 2,232.70 (-67.30), Murree Brewery Company Limited with a volume of 1,300 and price per share of 875 (-35.05), Indus Dyeing & Manufacturing Co. Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 600 (-25.00).
